English TEST ARCHED 2026 Test Day Guide: Milano and Bari
For candidates already registered for the English TEST ARCHED at Politecnico di Milano or Politecnico di Bari on 23 July 2026. Use this guide to prepare your equipment, documents and timing for test day.
Before you read on
- The English TEST ARCHED at Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Bari both take place on 23 July 2026. You cannot sit both on the same date.
- Your TEST ARCHED result can be used only to enrol at the university where you took that specific test (CISIA rule). A Milano result does not transfer to Bari, and vice versa.
- This guide is for candidates who have already registered. The main registration windows for both universities closed before this cycle’s test date — this page does not describe how to register.
- If anything on this page differs from the official email or notice you received from CISIA or your university, follow the official communication.
What the test looks like
Scoring: +1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for an incorrect answer, 0 for an unanswered question. Once you move forward from a section you cannot return to it, and unused time in one section cannot be transferred to another.

Politecnico di Milano — test day checklist
Before test day
- CISIA sends test instructions to your registered email in the days before the test. Read them as soon as they arrive.
- Confirm your ID document: it must be the same document you registered with — you will be asked to show it on test day.
- If your session is TEST@HOME, complete the technical check and room setup at least 45 minutes before your test start (see the shared TEST@HOME checklist below).
If your session is TEST@HOME
- Equipment: a laptop, and a smartphone or tablet with a working camera.
- Install WEBEX on your smartphone or tablet before test day.
- Stable internet connection on both devices; keep both plugged into power.
- Room: quiet, well-lit, with a door that closes; the door must stay visible and closed during the test.
- Position your phone/tablet on a support (shelf, bookcase, tripod) behind you, at roughly 45°, no higher than 1.5 m off the floor, about 1.5 m from your desk.
- Allowed on your desk: laptop, blank paper, pen. Nothing else — no headphones, earphones or external microphones.
- Wear clothing without pockets that could conceal items (no hoodies, jackets or coats at the desk).
If your session is TEST@UNI
- Arrive at the test entry time given in your official communication — do not guess a time.
- Bring a valid ID document, the same one used at registration.
- The examination board will give startup instructions once you are seated.

If you are missing the devices required for TEST@HOME, contact Politecnico di Milano directly — some universities can offer TEST@HOME on their own devices. For technical problems with the CISIA platform, use the CISIA HelpDesk.
Politecnico di Bari — test day checklist
Before test day
- Watch your registered email for CISIA’s test-day instructions.
- Confirm your ID document matches the one used at registration.
- Complete the technical check and room setup at least 45 minutes before 09:00 CEST.
Equipment and room setup (TEST@CASA)
- A laptop, and a smartphone or tablet with a working camera, both connected to power.
- Stable internet connection; WEBEX installed on your smartphone or tablet.
- A quiet, well-lit room with a door that closes; the door must remain visible and closed during the test.
- Phone/tablet positioned behind you on a support, roughly 45°, no higher than 1.5 m off the floor, about 1.5 m from your desk.
- Allowed on your desk: laptop, blank paper, pen, plus any approved accessibility support. Nothing else.
- Not allowed at any point: calculators, phones other than the camera device, headphones, earphones or external microphones.
- Wear clothing without concealable pockets.
If you cannot take the 23 July test
An additional session is currently scheduled for 16 September 2026, available only if places remain after the July rankings, with registration until 3 September 2026, 14:00 CEST. Confirm current availability with Politecnico di Bari before relying on this date.

From 48 hours before to after the test
- 48 hours before — Re-read the CISIA email for your test. Confirm your device meets the technical requirements.
- The evening before — Charge your laptop and phone/tablet fully. Set up your testing room if you are on TEST@HOME or TEST@CASA, so you only need to check it again in the morning.
- 60 minutes before — Final room/equipment check if remote. If in-person, plan your journey to arrive by the entry time in your official communication.
- Check-in — Remote: open the link in your CISIA email and log in with the username/password provided. In-person: show your ID document to the board.
- During each section — Answer within the 20-minute limit. You cannot go back to a finished section, and you cannot move time between sections.
- Immediately after — Click Finish to see your score on screen right away.
- Results and ranking stage — Use the link and credentials from your test-day email to download your result. Your university publishes the ranking separately — see “After the test” below.
If something goes wrong
No login email arrived
Check spam/junk folders first. If it still hasn’t arrived close to your test time, contact the CISIA HelpDesk immediately.
Credentials don’t work
Double-check you are using the exact username/password from the test-day email, not an old one. If it still fails, contact the CISIA HelpDesk right away — do not wait.
Connection drops mid-test
Follow the recovery steps in the official CISIA guide at your test link. Do not close your browser or restart your device on your own judgement — use CISIA’s official guidance and contact the HelpDesk if unsure.
Webex or device problem
Confirm Webex is installed and updated on your phone/tablet before test day so this doesn’t happen on the day itself. If it still occurs, use the CISIA HelpDesk.
ID document issue
Your ID must match what you registered with. If you no longer have that exact document, contact your university’s admissions office before test day, not on the day itself.
Any other problem during the test
Always follow the official instructions from CISIA or the exam board over any advice on this page. Use the CISIA HelpDesk for anything not covered by those instructions.

What happens next
- On-screen score — visible immediately after you click Finish.
- Result document — open your test-day email, follow the link, and log in to download it.
- University ranking — published separately by each university, on its own schedule. A high test score does not by itself confirm admission.
- Score and admission are not the same thing. Your score feeds into a ranking together with other candidates; only the ranking outcome determines a place.
