Use this guide to prepare your equipment, documents and timing for test day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"arched-section\">\n<div class=\"arched-wrap\">\n<div class=\"arched-alert arched-alert--critical\">\n<h2 class=\"arched-alert-title\">Before you read on<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The English TEST ARCHED at <strong>Politecnico di Milano<\/strong> and <strong>Politecnico di Bari<\/strong> both take place on <strong>23 July 2026<\/strong>. You cannot sit both on the same date.<\/li>\n<li>Your TEST ARCHED result can be used <strong>only<\/strong> to enrol at the university where you took that specific test (CISIA rule). A Milano result does not transfer to Bari, and vice versa.<\/li>\n<li>This guide is for candidates who have <strong>already registered<\/strong>. Read them as soon as they arrive.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm your ID document: it must be the <strong>same document you registered with<\/strong> &mdash; you will be asked to show it on test day.<\/li>\n<li>If your session is TEST@HOME, complete the technical check and room setup at least 45 minutes before your test start (see the shared TEST@HOME checklist below).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>If your session is TEST@HOME<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"arched-checklist\">\n<li>Equipment: a laptop, and a smartphone or tablet with a working camera.<\/li>\n<li>Install WEBEX on your smartphone or tablet before test day.<\/li>\n<li>Stable internet connection on both devices; keep both plugged into power.<\/li>\n<li>Room: quiet, well-lit, with a door that closes; the door must stay visible and closed during the test.<\/li>\n<li>Position your phone\/tablet on a support (shelf, bookcase, tripod) behind you, at roughly 45&deg;, no higher than 1.5 m off the floor, about 1.5 m from your desk.<\/li>\n<li>Allowed on your desk: laptop, blank paper, pen. Nothing else &mdash; no headphones, earphones or external microphones.<\/li>\n<li>Wear clothing without pockets that could conceal items (no hoodies, jackets or coats at the desk).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>If your session is TEST@UNI<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"arched-checklist\">\n<li>Arrive at the test entry time given in your official communication &mdash; do not guess a time.<\/li>\n<li>Bring a valid ID document, the same one used at registration.<\/li>\n<li>The examination board will give startup instructions once you are seated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Support<\/h4>\n<p>If you are missing the devices required for TEST@HOME, contact Politecnico di Milano directly &mdash; some universities can offer TEST@HOME on their own devices. There is no in-person option for this test.\n<\/div>\n\n<h4>Before test day<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"arched-checklist\">\n<li>Watch your registered email for CISIA&#8217;s test-day instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm your ID document matches the one used at registration.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the technical check and room setup at least 45 minutes before 09:00 CEST.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Equipment and room setup (TEST@CASA)<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"arched-checklist\">\n<li>A laptop, and a smartphone or tablet with a working camera, both connected to power.<\/li>\n<li>Stable internet connection; WEBEX installed on your smartphone or tablet.<\/li>\n<li>A quiet, well-lit room with a door that closes; the door must remain visible and closed during the test.<\/li>\n<li>Phone\/tablet positioned behind you on a support, roughly 45&deg;, no higher than 1.5 m off the floor, about 1.5 m from your desk.<\/li>\n<li>Allowed on your desk: laptop, blank paper, pen, plus any approved accessibility support. Nothing else.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Not allowed at any point:<\/strong> calculators, phones other than the camera device, headphones, earphones or external microphones.<\/li>\n<li>Wear clothing without concealable pockets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div class=\"arched-note\">\n<strong>Do not confuse test-day requirements with the English requirement.<\/strong> The B1 English certificate for this programme is checked at <strong>enrolment<\/strong>, not on test day. You do not need to present it to take TEST ARCHED.\n<\/div>\n\n<h4>If you cannot take the 23 July test<\/h4>\n<p>An additional session is currently scheduled for <strong>16 September 2026<\/strong>, available only if places remain after the July rankings, with registration until <strong>3 September 2026, 14:00 CEST<\/strong>. Confirm your device meets the technical requirements.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The evening before<\/strong> &mdash; Charge your laptop and phone\/tablet fully. Set up your testing room if you are on TEST@HOME or TEST@CASA, so you only need to check it again in the morning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>60 minutes before<\/strong> &mdash; Final room\/equipment check if remote. If in-person, plan your journey to arrive by the entry time in your official communication.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check-in<\/strong> &mdash; Remote: open the link in your CISIA email and log in with the username\/password provided. In-person: show your ID document to the board.<\/li>\n<li><strong>During each section<\/strong> &mdash; Answer within the 20-minute limit. You cannot go back to a finished section, and you cannot move time between sections.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Immediately after<\/strong> &mdash; Click Finish to see your score on screen right away.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Results and ranking stage<\/strong> &mdash; Use the link and credentials from your test-day email to download your result. Your university publishes the ranking separately &mdash; see &#8220;After the test&#8221; below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"arched-section arched-section--rule\">\n<div class=\"arched-wrap\">\n<span class=\"arched-kicker\">Troubleshooting<\/span>\n<h2 class=\"arched-h2\">If something goes wrong<\/h2>\n<div class=\"arched-grid\">\n<div class=\"arched-cell\"><h3>No login email arrived<\/h3><p>Check spam\/junk folders first. If it still hasn&#8217;t arrived close to your test time, contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.cisiaonline.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CISIA HelpDesk<\/a> immediately.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"arched-cell\"><h3>Credentials don&#8217;t work<\/h3><p>Double-check you are using the exact username\/password from the test-day email, not an old one. If it still fails, contact the CISIA HelpDesk right away &mdash; do not wait.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"arched-cell\"><h3>Connection drops mid-test<\/h3><p>Follow the recovery steps in the official CISIA guide at your test link. Do not close your browser or restart your device on your own judgement &mdash; use CISIA&#8217;s official guidance and contact the HelpDesk if unsure.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"arched-cell\"><h3>Webex or device problem<\/h3><p>Confirm Webex is installed and updated on your phone\/tablet before test day so this doesn&#8217;t happen on the day itself. If it still occurs, use the CISIA HelpDesk.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"arched-cell\"><h3>ID document issue<\/h3><p>Your ID must match what you registered with. If you no longer have that exact document, contact your university&#8217;s admissions office before test day, not on the day itself.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"arched-cell\"><h3>Any other problem during the test<\/h3><p>Always follow the official instructions from CISIA or the exam board over any advice on this page.
